Why Donate?
By supporting Moonwater Dance Project, you are contributing to a new dynamic between choreographers, dancers, students, and other artists. Moonwater Dance Project believes in prioritizing dancers’ well-being, and we strive to honor the strength of a respectful relationship through collaborative work. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where dancers can explore their artistry, celebrate their individuality, and produce quality, professional work.
What does your gift go toward?
Collaborator Stipends
Collaboration is at the core of Moonwater Dance Project. Paying the musicians, photographers, videographers and visual artists we work with is just one of the ways we are able to continue to push our creativity.
Dancer Payment
We take pride in making sure our dancers are fairly compensated for their contributions to the company.
New Repertoire Acquisitions
Acquiring a piece is incredibly expensive. To create a new piece, we must pay the choreographer for their creativity and rights to the piece, rehearsal space, dancer time, costumes, music rights, lighting design, and so much more.
Rehearsal Space
We are only able to produce such high-quality work because of the time we take inside the studio.
Production Costs
Producing a performance is an expensive task. The performance venue is costly, lighting designers and stage managers are vital to the professionalism of the performance, costuming and programs and so many other things go into the performances you enjoy.
Administrative/Marketing Costs
Moonwater Dance Project has grown so much over the past 5 years. We now have immense administrative needs and we need to compensate those who take on the administrative tasks.
